Mark Zuckerberg has made a new year resolution and he wants you to follow it too. The Facebook’s CEO is trying to read a book every other week along with a million others. Zuckerberg posted a message on his Facebook page to his 30 million Facebook followers inviting them to like a new page called ‘A Year of Books’.
Re/Code reported that, so far, more than 55,000 people have liked the page, and some of them have even started to discuss the club’s first selection: “The End of Power” by Moisés Naím. Many of the early commenters, however, are asking where to find it.
Many users suggested a variety of books to the CEO via his Facebook page. A few of them also suggested the Quran – the central religious text of Islam.
Tech Times also shared that, some of the challenges that were suggested involved planting a tree, learning to cook, paying a student loan, teaching in a K-12 class and going to the South Pole on a train. One user also suggested that Zuckerberg should start making a family of his own.
“Our first book of the year will be The End of Power by Moisés Naím,” said Zuckerberg. “It’s a book that explores how the world is shifting to give individual people more power that was traditionally only held by large governments, militaries and other organizations. The trend towards giving people more power is one I believe in deeply, and I’m looking forward to reading this book and exploring this in more detail.”
