The Department of Posts will send free SMS alert
a. To the receiver intimating receipt of the
item at the delivery Post Office.
b. To the sender intimating date and time of
delivery after the item is delivered.
c. To the complainant after successful
registration of complaint.
Sender to provide MOBILE NUMBER of SENDER and RECEIVER at the time of
booking.

SMS is also sent to the MOBILE NUMBER updated while registering
COMPLAINT through India Post web site (http://ccc.cept.gov.in/ComplaintRegistration.aspx)
about the COMPLAINT NUMBER.

The above mentioned SMS alerts are free of cost.

To get FREE SMS ensure to update MOBILE NUMBER while booking SPEED
POST, REGISTERED PARCEL, BUSINESS PARCEL, EXPRESS PARCEL, e-Money order and
while registering complaint.

1) The SMS is case sensitive. Use all CAPITAL LETTERS only.
2) Status will be available for items booked up to 60 days from the date of SMS enquiry. 3) The service is available from all the service providers in the Country. 4) Rates charged by the Service provider are applicable. |
