NEW DELHI: Motorola India has given a price
cut to the second-generation Moto X and has also started an exchange offer on
the smartphone.
According to the listing on Flipkart, which is
Motorola's exclusive dealer in India, the base 16GB variant of the
second-generation Moto X now costs Rs 29,999, down from its launch price of Rs
31,999. The models with wood and leather backs are also Rs 2,000 cheaper, now
priced at Rs 31,999.
Under the exchange offer, Motorola is cutting
the price of second-generation Moto X further to Rs 23,999 for the standard
model and Rs 25,999 for the wood and leather variants.
These discounts come the same day Motorola is scheduled to launch the 32GB variant of the new Moto X. The smartphone has not been listed on Flipkart at the time of writing.

The second-generation Moto X sports a 5.2-inch
full-HD (1080x1920p) AMOLED display. It features a curved metal frame. Powered
by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and 2GB RAM The phone
is 9.9mm thick and weighs 144gram. Moto X also runs Android 4.4 KitKat and
comes with Motorola's own suite of apps.
The new Moto X features a 13MP rear camera and a 2MP front-camera. The rear camera features a dual-LED ring flash and can record 4K video. It has a 2,300mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 3G , Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

The second-generation Moto X sports hardware
specifications comparable to high-end flagship phones like the HTC One (M8) and
LG G3. It comes with a more premium form factor including a metal frame.
